National Mourning Day Observed at CGA Office 

  

On the occasion of 15 August, the National Mourning Day, a discussion program was organized at the office of the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) on 15 August, 2018. The discussion meeting and doa mahfil was presided over by the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) Mr. Abul Foyez Md. Abid with the presence of all Chief Accounts Officers (CAO) & the officers of CGA office. The valiant days and activities of Bangabandhu’s life were discussed at length at the program. At the end of the program the discussants prayed for the departed soul of Bangabandhu, the father of the nation, and his family members who embraced martyrdom on 15 August, 1975.

  

  

  

  

Inauguration of New CGA Conference Room at Hisab Bhaban 

  

A newly constructed conference room went in operation at the office of the Controller General of Accounts. The conference room was inaugurated by the Comptroller and Auditor General Mr. Masud Ahmed on 16 April, 2018. Along with other office space of CAO, Postal department at Hisab Bhaban, the 3rd floor of that office was also occupied by thousands of old sacks of disposable records for decades. Even the piles of old sacks went up to the roof top of the corridors and the rooms. As a result thousands of square feet of valuable office space remained unused. The reality is that the new conference room has emerged from the piles of the old sacks. The Conference Room with the sitting arrangement of 80 people has been facilitated with modern technological support and amenities like latest sound system with auto camera, display devices etc. A buffet room and two wash rooms for male & female with modern facilities have also been constructed adjacent to the newly constructed CGA Conference Room.

  

 

  

  

OCGA Launches Pension Payment Through EFT 

  

The Office of Controller General of Accounts (CGA) launched Pension Payment through Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) for the pensioners drawing pension from the office of the Chief Accounts Officer, C&AG, PSC & Election Commission. The Comptroller & Auditor General of Bangladesh Mr. Masud Ahmed inaugurated the Pension Payment through EFT in a launching ceremony organized at the office of the CGA on 1st April, 2018. A total of 102 pensioners has been brought under EFT coverage at this phase. Earlier the pensioners drawing pension from the CAO, Finance Division were brought under EFT coverage for the first time from 1st February’ 2018. The CGA Mr. Abul Foyez Md. Abid expressed his plan to widen the coverage of pension payment through EFT with an expectation to reach the facility to all the 6.5 lac pensioners by phases.

C&AG Visits Development Fair-2018 

  

Comptroller & Auditor General of Bangladesh Mr. Masud Ahmed visited the stall of Finance Division organized by Divisional Controller of Accounts, Dhaka at Development Fair’2018 in Dhaka. Senior officials of the office of the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) & Divisional Controller of Accounts were also present.

  

 

  

  

  

CGA office Organized Rally Celebrating UNESCO Recognition of the Historic March 7 Speech 

  

Office of the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) organized a rally celebrating UNESCO recognition of the historic March 7, 1971 Speech of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Shiekh Mujibur Rahman as a World’s Documentary Heritage. The rally was organized by the Government Officials and employees of Bangladesh at Suhrawardy Udyan on 25 November, 2017. Controller General of Accounts (CGA) Mr. Abul Foyez Md. Abid led the rally participated by the Officials and employees of CGA command.

  

 

  

  

  

CGA Hands Over Jeep for DCA Rangpur 

  

Controller General of Accounts Mr. Abul Foyez Md. Abid handed over a jeep to DDCA, Rangpur for the office of the Divisional Controller of Accounts, Rangpur on 31st October, 2017 at CGA office.

National Public Service Day Observed at CGA Office 

  

The office of the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) organized a discussion meeting on the event of the “National Public Service Day’ 2017” on 23rd July, 2017. The meeting was presided over by the Additional CGA (Admin) Mr. S M Rezvi with the presence of all Chief Accounts Officer (CAO) & the officers of CGA administration.

Senior Secretary of Finance Division Mr. Mahbub Ahmed visited the stall of Finance Division organized by Divisional Controller of Accounts, Dhaka at Development Fair in Dhaka on 9 January, 2017. Senior officers of Finance Division & Additional CGA (Admin) were also present there.
